The Google Desktop Search has added an SDK to allow searching of more items on your computer, and one of the first plugins released for it is the ability to search new Trillian conversations. For more information and to grab the plugin, go to the Google Desktop Search Plugin page. (http://desktop.google.com/plugins.html)

I noticed the plugin doesn't search old logs.

Have you been in touch w/ the Google guys at all and, if so do you know if they plan on changing this?

There's also a slight problem w/ large text.

The plugin for Trillian is a good idea. I wish though that they support OSes earlier than Win2K.

What're you using?

I use WinXP, but the low-end computers I build uses WinMe (I have tons of WinMe CDs) and that plugin doesn't work for WinMe.

You manage to put Win ME on computers w/o feeling ashamed of yourself? ;)

Nope, not at all.

I have the most stable WinME setup, and I have never received a complaint or "technical call" on it. It took me 6 months to tweak and hack the OS and then I made a master copy of it. Once the WinME is installed from one of the WinME CD's, I super-impose the master copy over it.

Without going into details, the master copy of course has "holes" in it and it gets filled in with information from the OEM install (like drivers, CD Key, etc).

WinME has been the *BEST* OS installed in over 250 computers I've sold.

Why did you choose it over 2000 or XP? While I don't have much ME exposure the little time I've spent w/ it has not pleasant and, I've heard it's the worst produced of any Windows OS. So, I'm curious how you came to your decision. (No sarcasm :-) )

Although this is totally off-topic to the subject of the thread, I can best answer your questions in the Success Stories forum in my thread: Trillian MultiIM Client boosted my side business (http://www.gotrillian.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110). I have copy-n-pasted/quoted your questions there, and posted a current answer :)
