MySpace today officially announced the beta launch of it's much anticipated MySpaceIM instant messaging service (http://www.myspace.com/myspaceim).
All MySpace users rejoice right? Not so fast. Currently it's only available for users of Microsoft Windows, and it is yet another stand alone application to install.
So how does this fit in with Trillian? Easy. So far it's looking like the much anticipated new version of Trillian Astra will be the first IM client that will connect to MySpaceIM, without the need to install the MySpaceIM application.
One Alpha tester that we interviewed had this to say about the new MySpaceIM integration in Trillian Astra:
"I liked the fact that it automatically imported my buddies and allowed me to remove another kludgy IM program from my system. I also love that I don't have to keep myspace open in IE and keep refreshing the page" [sic]
