GoTrillian WebStatus Wizard On-line

Back in September we began testing a new feature here which allowed users to show their current status using graphical status indicators. So far the response has been positive, and things seem to be working quite well. To date over 7 million images have been served. Thank you to everyone who helped test it and for those who have submitted various themes.

When the initial test launched, there was not a very intuitve of setting up the images and there was not much documentation. Finally, we have added a Webstatus section (http://www.gotrillian.com/perl/webstatus) to the site. This is an interactive wizard which allows you to select a theme and choose your images. It also guides you through the setup and gives you the code needed for posting the images on forums or web sites. A link has been added under the "Goodies" menu for this. Also, there is a WebStatus FAQ (http://www.gotrillian.com/forums/faq.php?faq=webstatus) with more information about this feature.

Note to theme makers: The wizard makes use of a "preview.jpg" image to preview the theme to the user on the first page. Images on hand were used and may not be ideal. You may want to submit an update with a new preview.jpg. For anyone interested in submitting themes or theme updates, please see the FAQ for guidelines.

1. I found two cosmetics problems that came up while using Internet Explorer. I have posted them here (since I couldn't post attachments in this thread): http://www.gotrillian.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2035#post2035

2. Can I use other miscelleanous images instead of left, right, trillian images? Like perhaps a seperator or an email image (an image where you can link a Mailto: code on), and a homepage image, etc? Or will you add these as times goes on when needed?

I plan to make some images that matches my theme (once I finish them) for email, homepage, and etc.

Sure there can be any number of extra images with any alphanumeric filename. And you can always change the default linking in the code provided.
