Thanks, I fixed it. Although you're already registered. :-P You just need to go to the jabber accounts page, enter a password, and you're all set. :)

I think he means your forum name wouldn't change,
but your jabber name would be RogerZoel not Roger Zoel

Im having some problems. I am positive i have my account details entered correctly (IWantTheMango@GotTrillian.com), i am listed as ACTIVE on the jabber page here, and my password is correct. This is what i get...

Make sure you are using "gotrillian.com" and not "gottrillian.com". I think you might have an extra "t" in there.

It works now, thank you. The only thing is (i doubt its a problem) i get this error. It does not affect my connection to the network.

I get that too, and I have no idea what it means exactly. Probably something that is not found, like a 404 page for websites.

actually it wont login right now because the server is currently down for maintenance. We'll get it back up as soon as we can.

The password for your GoTrillian.com web site account (and forums) and the password for your Jabber account are completely separate. Only the usernames are directly associated. When you create a GoTrillian.com Jabber account, you need to specify an e-mail address. If you change your Jabber account's password it does not effect your password on the site or on the forums and vice versa.

That IQ error comes for me too, at least every one having also gotrillian jabber-account, I can't say does it say it to peoples from other servers ascurrently my 1 buddy using another server isn't online... But anyways there is something wrong... After this error, it is lottery that does messages go to destination at all...

I am not able to create a jabber account from the "goodies link" at the top of the page. I get taken to this registration page.

getting a 502 error here when attempting to msg others. For clarification, what should the server and port be set to? Also as a side question, where'd you find the info to install jabber on your server? Been thinking about a mini internal IM service for a website of mine, and this would fit the bill.

It uses the standard port, and the server is gotrillian.com.

Jabber is a separate medium, similar to aim or msn, however it differs in that it is open source. For instance, users with a GoTrillian Jabber account can chat with those who have accounts with Google Talk which also uses the Jabber protocol.

I just don't see the point of having another chat system with you can't find anyone to chat do.
At lest the AIM has a 'find a chat room' option that point to a page.
I guess it make agood back up encase one for the other system goes down for abit.
